Carine Schneider, FGE is the President, of AST Private Company Solutions. She was honored in 2019 with the ProShare Award for Services to Employee Share Ownership, in 2017 as one of the 100 Influential Women in Silicon Valley (Silicon Valley Business Journal), and one of 17 “Women to Watch” in 2017 by Brown Brothers Harriman. Carine was invited to become a Fellow of Global Equity in 2019. An experienced and well-connected leader in the private market & global compensation industry. Carine was formerly the President, of NASDAQ Private Market Equity Solutions. She was the founder & CEO of WFFConnect, a mission-driven company to connect women founders to capital that was acquired by WorldWideWomen.
Carine has held various leadership positions including CEO of Certent, founder & CEO of Global Shares, Partner at PwC and Nua Group, executive positions at Morgan Stanley and Towers Watson. In 1992, Carine was the founding Executive Director of the NASPP. Carine started her career as Manager of Shareholder Relations at Oracle Corporation where she assisted in the IPO. Carine served on the Board of both Certent and Global Shares and currently serves on the Board of AST Private Company Solutions, Inc.
In 1999, Ms. Schneider founded the Global Equity Organization (GEO) which now has over 6500+ members worldwide. She served as Chair for 18 years and is now Chair Emeritus.
Ms. Schneider was born in The Netherlands and speaks Dutch and English. She received her degree in Psychology & Sociology from the University of California. She is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world, including President Obama’s Global Entrepreneurial Summit, and has authored various articles in industry publications. She is one of the founders and Past-Chair of the Advisory Board for the Santa Clara University CEP Program.
